Would you get banned for having Assembly-CSharp.dll modified / How easy is it to be?

Most of the hacks on Rust at the moment are pretty much Assembly-CSharp.dll modified. So I was wondering how easy is it to get banned for having it modified and if VAC checks the files or something like that (don't know how VAC really works.)

p.s - Sorry if this is a dumb question just I love Rust a lot and I don't really wanna risk it if I can get banned easily.

You can play on cracked servers and if you can't banned on one you can still join others

According to VAC modifying any .DLL or .exe files is fair game for a ban. However, their ability to detect it, I do not know. I did notice though, that the date it the top right of the game where it also says Rust.Alpha, is changed to the date of when the file was last modified and they could easily use these as checks to send out bans.

Rust doesn't use VAC.

Garry claimed Garry's Mod used VAC too, and still does, but it's mostly to scare players.

I don't really understand, fapdarklord said that VAC isn't even enabled when multiple bans have happened. When I clicked on the source in that thread it didn't even show Rust as a VAC enabled game.. So the question is, does Rust have VAC or not? You can search it yourself as well..

Simple you can change right corner date by changing your own computer date and saving the file.

False, my file says Dec, 31 and my ingame says Dec, 30.
