This is my first tutorial on MPGH!
In this tutorial I will teach you how to edit your FOV or Field of View which will basically (I guess make you run faster etc)
No, you can not get banned by doing this because all you're doing is editing game settings and for other players you will be running as normal.
(1) Alright first go to Libraries>Documents>Battlefield 4>Settings>
(2) Now next step I suggest using Notepad ++ because it is easier and simpler, but I believe normal notepad will work too.
(3) With second step you open a file called PROFSAVE_profile.
(4) Now scroll down until you see GstRender.FieldOfView 70.000000.
(5) Once you found that you can modify the 70, to eg 90.000000 or higher.
(6) Once you have edited your FOV setting you can press CTRL+S or save and exit.
(7) Finally you can launch Battlefield 4 and the FOV setting should feel different.
Of course if you wish to set your FOV settings back to normal you can repeat these steps and change the first two digits to 70.

This should work but for some reason my fov was already at 90, strange
Thanks anyway!
Thanks for the quick note bullpop, forgot to add it.
This is totaly false, by expanding the field of View, youre X axes (don't for the Y) will be increase and the only result is you can see more details. Btw, this will use more ressources of the GPU so FPS dropping is something to expect.which will basically (I guess make you run faster etc)
And i really want to know, can you tell me what's the difference between doing all those steps and just changing the FOV in he Setting Menu during the game ?
O_O I had no idea you can do that in setting menu.
dude you do know you can change your FOV in the in game settings.
slowpoke much?

It shouldn't effect fps too much becuase everything that is in the game is loaded all the time, its not like the game only renders what you can see. The only reason it might lower you fps is because it is trying to increase the bitrate (I think its bitrate) forcing more pixels together on a smaller screen.
seriously guys
FOV has been changable in the in-game menues since BFBC2
now you can even change the FOV when ADS'ing, that was added in a recent patch
