Possible way to disable hackshield

I have found a possible way to permanently disable hackshield but i have 2 problems.
1. It may be an outdated method.
2.I can't get to the file EagleNT(don't be confused with EagleNT and EagleNET,theres a difference)

EagleNT is a .sys file that is 0 bytes and invisible, but it exists in every windows computer. And is needed to disable hackshield.

If you can tell me where i can find it please do.

I think it's at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\EagleNT.sys

I tried there already. any other places?

Maby i can find it using Regedit

I looked around and some sites said it may be from
a antivirus program...

EDIT: Symantec AKA Norton Antivirus

Regedit is an antivirus program that i know can find it but how/where can you find it using regedit.

egleNT is a VERY OLD way to disable hackshield.....

regedit it not a antivirus.. it moding the registry..

I just found this method of doing it on gamerzneedz. Here it is.

Hi everybody,

Due to many "wars" happen about how to bypass Ahn HackShield Pro, I have decided to come out this tut.

Here are the steps:

1. Run regedit
2. Go to \HKEY_LOCAL\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\
3. Right click EagleNT
4. Select Permission.
5. Click Add.
6. Click Advanced.
7. Click Find Now.
8. Select Everyone
9. Click OK.
10. Set Permission for "Everyone".
11. Select Deny for Full Control
12. Click OK
13. Restart
14. You are done

Does This Work?

Someone please try this and tell me how it goes.(P.S. make a restore point before doing this because it changes your computer and can screw it up). Some people say it works and others say they get an error trying to get it to work.

Do not try this on xp, 2000, or windows 98 because you can't make a restore point unless you are on vista or wiindows 7.

If you try this on xp,2000, 98, be prepared to recover your pc so i recomend backing it up first.
