How to protect from Virusses

Hello, these are short tipps, how to protect from virusses.

1. If You downloaded something, do NEVER put it into WINDOWS or System32 Folder, these are 100% Viruses


2. Look at the Virus Total, if AntiVir, GData, Kaspersky, McAfee and other Well known AntiVirus Softwares says it's a virus, this would be i virus MAYBE. It is not always the case, but usually!


3. Don't Download any files, where Virustotal says that there are viruses to 25%-30%. These are Viruses, usually.


Infected - What Now?

First You have to Update your AntiVir.
Then search for Viruses with Your AntiVir.
If he found something, press "Repair All", "put into Quarantine" or "delete" and delete the files from Quarantine, if these are in the Quarantine.
Then Download the latest version of Spybot, and Search for things, what need a fix. If he find something, fix it.


Have a Virus - But Can't delete it.

If you know you have a Virus, but you can't delete it, download "Hijackthis", create a Log-File and post it into a board for Viruses.
You Can test the Logfile HijackThis Logfile Analysis but this is in German, but you can see what is a virus, maybe. And You Get Informations about it.
These are in German, but you can Translate it for example on Google Translater


Virus in WINDOWS Folder

If the Virus is in the WINDOWS Folder, Google for Informations to your Virus(es).
Then You Have to Search for a Way yourself.


Good Way to don't get Infected

sandboxie is a nice tool. You have to start your Browser with Sandboxie and then you can download files. If files are virus, it don't damage your "real" pc, because this is something like a "Quarantine".
