I completely agree with you, this man has sent an important message to everyone who's watched the video showing how hypocritical people can be and I get that. The point I'm trying to make is that this man had no clue that his video would become viral and that it would gather so much support, if this video hadn't became viral all that would have happened is a few people would have watched it, got the message and moved along. Not only that but his whole escapade at the start of the video would have done nothing but be offensive to the general public.

True that, but still, if he would have been standing there that entire day, colllecting money, he also didnt have absolute certain that he would collect any money.
And the money he could have gotten from making 1 video, in 1 day, with a little more than 10,000 views, would've been more then what he could've collected that day.
And now it's way more then that he could've collected that day.
So I think we can agree that this guy made a good move.
