How exactly would you program a hack for combat arms?

Hello,

I'd like to contribute to the community with a hack in general. I know vb.net, a fair amount of c++, but would prefer to stick with vb.net or vb6.

Does anyone have any open source hack projects that I could possibly overview the source and get a better idea of how this kind of stuff works?
