Hey fellas, this is a thread for newbies. For beginners, only.
So, what is Battlefield 3 really is?
This game is focusing on reality. It helps you to imagine you on a battlefield as a soldier.
I previously played Call of Duty, and I acted really good in that game. Will I be good at this game, too?
No. This game is different than Call of Duty. If you play like Call of Duty, you'll f*ck your brain up, and ragequit. You really have to play differently than Call of Duty. How? See it below.
How to play it as a beginner? Rush? Camp?
As a beginner, always stick to the side of the map. But don't be stupid! If there's no cover, do not go there. Battlefield 3 is a patience game. Don't try to rush, or you'll be a dead man. Before making a move to an other house, make sure that no enemies see you.
What weapons should I use? Which attachments?
This is a question what I don't like to hear. It depends on you, every weapon can be good, if the user can use it well.
Too high recoil!
You don't say? In reality the weapons' kick is high. Try to shoot in burst or switch fire mode for better accuracy.
I'm a medic, and I want to revive one of my teammates. When should I do that?
Clear the area. Make sure that there are no enemies around. If you want to revive your teammate on a dangerous place, you'll die. Only fools rush in.
What tactics should I use?
Do what your teammates do. If most of them camp, you must also camp. If they rush in, go after them. But think! If they rush in and always die, do not follow them! But always stay close to your teammates. You can't make an army alone.
I've got a grenade, too!
Do not throw your grenade away like an idiot. I use my grenades to spot enemies. Because if you throw it close to an enemy, he will yell "GRENADE", so you can easily spot them. Always use your ears, it can happen that and enemy is running after you.
Hope this was helpful, good luck! This game is much better than Call of Duty in my opinion, you won't be disappointed!
