Here, let me be the thirsd:

Clannad is relatively boring now, but wasn't at the time.(because the highschool drama boom was just starting).

The main problem with clannad is that it's really limited to what is now "generic highschool romance", i.e. they do the thing and some half-romantical drama comes about(but not really), then eventually after a long time the couple gets together, and yeah there was some sad shit but even that was relatively "meh".



It's character designs horrify me to this day though, those fucking eyes......those goddamn eyes....
