If I make an alt account, will I get banned on my main? Whenever I log in the alt, it shows my main's games and when I press play, it shows that the game is tied to my main account. I can choose to request permission to share the game or to buy it. If I buy it and I get banned, will I get banned on my main? I know a friend who got banned on his main. Is there a way to bypass this?

No. Even if you cheat on an alt account with its own copy of CS: GO, your "main" account can still get banned even though you didn't cheat on it.

Afaik, if you have 2 accounts at the same time that are related, they will both get banned.
But, if you get banned on one, re-buy the game again after you're banned and then start playing again, the new account won't get VAC'd.

i was wondering about this also, how could your main possibly get banned aswel if you only ever had the hack loaded on an alt account. afaik, VAC doesn't ban every account tied to a certain PC, otherwise what would be the use of hacking on an alt if your main would get banned too right? I've only seen a couple of cases on the internet where people claim to have had their main banned when they didn't hack on it but never with any kind of proof ofc.

If your main will get banned, that would fucking suck. I can't hack then.

Note that I use different emails, so the only relation is the same computer, and the same IP. Will my main still get banned if my alt gets VACd

Consider either not using hacks at all or just going all rebellish and #YOLO on it.
I don't believe I'd be banned on my main when my ALT does since I know a guy who got dozens of alts banned and his main is still roaming VAC free lol.
Although he does have the game purchased seperatedly on his main & alternative accoutns.

There have been multiple cases reported, where people got banned on their main account for hacking on their alts.

EDIT: Also! YES, you will be banned if you get boosted by a hacker. It's stated clearly in one of their most recent patches.

Yes you can be banned on your primary account even if you didn't cheat on it.

USN journal, look into it. It's a feature of NTFS.
