Help in rankeds

Never play ranked the second you hit 30 man
It was one of the biggest mistakes i made. Landed me in B4 back in the day.

Don't play ranked until you have at LEAST a positive W/L ratio for normals. After that, make sure you can play a MINIMUM of two champions per role very adequetly. Three is recommended. If you can't play every role well, don't do ranked. Biggest mistake that the Bronze/Silver elo people make is that they start playing ranked without knowing how to jungle, or support, and just wanna play one of the "fun" roles. You learn invaluble skills from each role, and you'll be better at ranked over all if you're at least good with every role. You can still have a preferred role, but always try to "fill" for your team, since chances are the other people on your team (at low elo) will be scrubs that refuse to play jungle or support and if they get forced into it will do very poorly and end up feeding. Just let them have the role that they think they're good at. Other than that, try to play champs that can carry and ALWAYS duo-q with a friend who you know is good. Try to duo in a way that the two of you will be able to carry together (one person being tanky, either support jungle or top, and the other being a hyper carry adc or some sort of snowbally top/mid. Never ever rely on the randoms to carry when you duo).

tl;dr:
Play more normals til you have at least a 52% winrate, 54% preferred
Master two champs for each role, preferably three
Fill for your team, even supports can carry (Thresh, blitz, Naut)
Always duo at low elo with a carry setup
