PLUS they can just ban your ip why would they force charges on you or harass you via email.

They don't want to stop botting, they even hinted at that in their emails to me.
They believe they should have taken a stance against bottling earlier on before it became too bigger part of the game.
The main issue with me was that I emailed them first - and my email is very public. James is smart in that he keeps himself to himself
My username grabber was also one of the bigger issues as it was a counterpart in the 'cracking' process which does cause a lot of problems, especially for the help
team :P

I don't understand why people don't take AE as a serious company. Based on assumption, I'm sure they've had all of the legal work done years ago to be an actual company. The way I see it is that "hacking" is manipulating code and such that was never formally released. They have the right to politely contact certain users over the unintended use of their product and ask them to stop. Also, I see no reason to simply call BS or to use any term that could engage conflict such as BS.

Yep, that's it in the simplest terms.
Of course there are more in and outs but that's basically the main point. They also feel that the likes of 'hacking' their games has shortened their companies lifespan along with other things such as the discontinuation of Flash, which they're hoping to overcome with Unity. Some of this is through the eyes of one staff member though, so always remember that bias could play a part :P

Also, I see it as grey because I used to do that stuff but I no longer do - kind of in the middle
