First of all, check that it's indeed .lua and not .lua.txt, a common error when known file extensions are hidden from the file explorer. If you see that it's a "text file" and not "lua file" under the application type, it's wrong.

Next, ensure that you have the hook placed in the same folder as your payday 2 application. The hook should be up-to-date.

Next, ensure that you have a pd2hook.yml with the script you made listed under a correct keybind, and that the pd2hook.yml is formatted correctly. The file name and folder name must be correct as well, though not case sensitive.

After you run the script, you need to re-enter and exit a menu (e.g. Open and close the inventory if you are in the main menu, else just exit from your current menu.)

Make a .txt file, open and paste the script inside, save the file, rename extension from .txt to .lua.

And then you can get the hook here https://www.mpgh.net/forum/showthread.php?t=885528 or from some other source of your own.
