I disagree, the reason they made the Howl stattrak is because it was already a red, a semi-rare one at that. With literally tens of thousands of griffins out there it would make the contraband classification worthless. If they made the 3 guns in the game that are still un copyright claimed contraband [selling the info about these guns btw] it would lose value because there is simply so many of them.

Not necessarily all contraband weapons are discontinued ones, it even says it in the wiki.
