Yes and no. I have an RGH. Which is basically a JTAG but with the newer consoles. I own my own Xbox 360 RGH2 Trinity.

you have to upgrade consoles every 2 years for new releases.

I own a 6 year old PC and it can run current gen games fine at 1080p/60fps

Only reason you have to update the xbox 360 is the firmware thats on it so that you can keep up with the latest updates that M$ puts out there, also the nice thing about these consoles YOU DO NOT NEED THE DISK TO PLAY THE GAME ONCE YOU COPY THE GAME TO THE HDD! plays free and clear with no disk

Oh you got me there. This is an opinion based question. "Which platform is the best?". Well the answers will be in a variety, but consoles beat PC gaming any day. I have Steam, Xbox, and used to have a PS3. I prefer Xbox 360. I don't want to argue with a person who thinks their opinion matters in this context.

I played PC games for 10 years ! so personaly the amount of money spent in PC gaming which i can do with one xbox 360 jtag or xbox 360 rgh console is alot less money in the long run! like i said you guys all need to do some research on what they can and can't do since your just a PC nuthugger
