After learning a programming language, what next?

So I just finished my 2nd semester in my college in C++(Only 2 semesters) and I did 1 semester of Computer Assembly(in Pep8). Now I understand the basic concept of memory and stack but what should I learn or look into when applying it into gaming, for example making DLL and Memory Hacks. Any recommendations?

I know this won't be the answer you want, but.. Do not force yourself into game hacking. Once you feel like you have sufficient knowledge and ability to attempt to "hack" a game, that is when you should begin. If you attempt it before having knowledge of what to do, all you're going to do is get yourself frustrated and eventually quit. Take your time, and in the long run, it will be much more satisfying and rewarding.

this question is asked more than necessary....
    it's so simple.

    > learn to code in any higher level language (lower too if you want more flexibility)
    > once you're good at it learn how everything works underneath (after you hit "Build" or w/e)
    > learn reverse engineering from a book or teach it to yourself
    > guide yourself

not a very complicated thing to do taking into consideration how many times it's been answered and people think their question is always somewhat unique...
