Of course, degrees are what will make your living so much higher in the future. Or, you could go down the road i am soon to be headed, join the air force, and go into Cyber Surety. You make bank, and you already get schooling after the BMT.
I'm one of those people, but did you know some game companies such as Treyarch are hiring people without degrees? Obviously a degree looks good on your application, but the fact that they don't REQUIRE one is pretty cool.
In my personal opinion, I still think that going to college/university is super important, it's very rare to find a high-paying job without some sort of certification

But see some people, like me, have a specific field they really want to be in. For example, mine is computer engineering, like everything in that field, graphics, software, everything. I'd be happy to wake up in the morning and do something I love to do, that's what matters

This is truth though. Not new but it's definitely true.
I believe trade school is better, especially if you just want to focus on one specific thing. For example, HVAC Technician or Medical Assistant, etc. You just learn everything you need to know for that certain career and then you graduate and get a decent paying job. I feel college you're just going through high school again learning all those subjects but, harder. I guess college is only required depending on your career choice but, I still recommend trade school.
No degree? No worries.

Not very true. There are hundreds if not thousands of people who are rich without a college degree. However, in a sense you're right, the majority of people who don't get an education will be doing this for lots of money.
