How to prevent main account ban while hacking on mule?

I've heard that many people who hack on the same computer / ip - address would get both their mule / main steam account banned.

Is there anyway to bypass this? Is there a tutorial or a guide anywhere that can explain (maybe using VPN or something?)

Please let me know, because I am thinking of making a mule account to hack on, but don't want my main steam account getting banned :P

    Thanks!

Well theres no definite way to keep your main from getting banned but here are a few ways to make sure that you are a bit safer from things Steam may add to multi-account banning.

Make sure all files of your hack are stored on a FAT storage device (flashdrive), otherwise its logged in the USN Journal. If your hacks were ever stored or touched your C: or other drives then you need to enter this in cmd (run as admin): fsutil usn deletejournal /n c: (please note you won't be able to play VAC secured servers for around an hour after running this)

When switching Steam accounts go to the top left menu on Steam client and click exit, after exiting run CCleaner and just make sure it deletes some Steam files (it will tell you what it deletes and how many).

Would you say playing on a VPN for a different IP is needed?

Sweeet this has been really helpful.
However, just wondering if vac uses Hardware ID to ban main accounts or do they use IP ? Meaning would programs like VPN work?

I am planning on running it on a fat usb while using VM-protect to encrypt the file everytime i use it.

Would this be a good approach?

As far as I know using a VPN/Proxy is not needed (although Steam does log IPs that log into the account, I know for a fact VAC doesn't ban via that). I don't believe Steam links accounts via their IP only HWID although I may be wrong about that. If you're someone like KQLY that decides to do some cheating then yes you'll probably need a VPN if Valve ever decides to cross-check IP's with accs but tbch Valve is lazy af.

If you want to be completely safe and you're absolutely insane (unless Steam adds IP to multi-banning) then you'll need to dual-boot & re-partition your HDD & use a secure VPN. If you do this then you will be extremely safe from whatever Steam/VAC does add.

Also 1 last thing, when switching accs after you use CCleaner heres a BAT file you can run (credit to a user on HF):

    taskkill /f /im hl1.exe
    taskkill /f /im hl2.exe
    taskkill /f /im Steam.exe

    REG DELETE HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Valve\Steam\Users /f

    echo File Deleted

**NOTE** That .BAT will restart your computer (extremely recommended, but its not absolutely needed, once again just extra safety)
