It's nothing special, female players, including FPS gamers, are very common in developed asian countries (china, japan, south korea, taiwan) compared to western countries.

They have live tournaments where maybe every third or more of the high levels are chicks. And they aren't fat overweight slobs or anything, just normal students and employees.
