[Discussion] Microsoft visual C++ 2006

kk my computer is running windows 7 atm and im trying to install microsoft visual c++ 2006 but it isnt compatible....is there a way to make this work because the vid tutorial im looking consist of warrock d3d hacking tutorial and needs that kind of program..im also using c++ 2008 but the project im loading doesnt work for it...any suggestion on how to make it run?

And link to the video please? I'm using VC++ 2008, so if i try it i may see what's wrong. Cause, right now i have no idea what the problem is.

Try a different compiler, or simply. Right click Visual C++ 2006(if it exists[like zeco said]), properties, compatibility tab, and change it to Windows XP.

There is only one way to fix this! Never attempt to use VC++ 6.0 ever again. Just use 2008 =/

The error you get means the version does not exist and therefor you are a ******

Just use 2008, If yo already had a later version like 2003 or something I would keep it otherwise if your getting it for the first time you misewell get 2008 express edition.

And I think it can't access the file, because it was only in temp storage. Maybe it was deleted. =/

You could try taking ownership of the file.

Also, why the hell use VC++6.0 when the Express Edition of 2008 is completely free?
