It really does, think about it.
Everything you do in your life, you always have to think of the effect, lets say you really wanna go to hawaii, you see your bank account is empty, then you cant pursue your dream (whatever u wanna call it)
i didn't put a lot of effort into that sentence but you should still get the point, the government and just people in general have made it so you cant do anything without being wealthy.
Exactly, and, excuse me, the bolshie scum.
Basically, and this is all written in Marx's Kapital, a great read, and there's even a semi-graphic novel version of it, something anyone who wants to get into economics/politics should read. With the creation of capitalism, the term "commodity" was created, things were no longer made by humans so that they could use them, rather they were harvested for their sell value. The constant clash between socialism/capitalism is basically those who think things should be made to be sold versus people who think that things should be made to be used. While some people might criticize an "imploded" economy, what counts is that people are treated well, and have high quality of life. So basically, in a capitalist society such as the USA, a loaf of bread might sit on the shelf of a grocery store until it rots, when it is thrown away. Giving this loaf of bread away would degrade it's sell value. This is why I am socialist, and do not believe in the success of promissory notes.

Money doesn't control us, rather it is an imperative element in our society. There is nothing inherently wrong with money, it's a means of trading. You work for your money and in return you can use it for your own wants or needs. How else would you want it? People go around and take whatever they want? That would be chaotic and nobody would provide in the first place. The system is place is great, it's only fair that you earn what you want. The only problem in this system is that there must equal opportunities for everyone to earn the money, and this ideal situation is not present everywhere.
