How to disable HWID on a program?

So I've obtained a Hack from a friend that has HWID protection on it which I want to bypass so both me and my friend can use it at the same time. Was is the best way to go about doing this? I'm obviously going to share it on here if I'm successful as well.

yes, find out the algorithm for hardware fingerprinting and then search it. use ur fcking brain

Most applications will generate the hardware ID from the disk drive serial number. Or the Crypto key in the Registry.
Still you can hook ReadFile, or RegOpenKey, the alter the HWID or just hook the recv function to change the response given by the server. While you're at it, check the return address, then look for a compare statement being done to allow or disallow the application.

Most scans are done on startup I guess so you can simply step into each line of code or heck even use a string search. But in the end make sure to check for additional scans as there might be more than 1
