hiya, I'm new here and a fresh student at college studying IT engineering.
If you don't get to see the f8 or delete for setup buttons then it sounds like a BIOS issue as your not seing the POST at startup. Open your pc remove all barr the CPU, Mobo and PSU, clean it and the replace the components. Then remove the CMOS battery (little flat watch battery ) startup the PC let it run even if nothing happens just let it run a few minutes then power off, replace the CMOS battery and then see if you can enter the BIOS. If not then it's possible that eithe the CMOS chip or some of the other chips on the MoBo have gone tits up.
How old is your rig?
ok your prob is the Black screen of death and its like the blue screen of death sounds like your system 32 got deleted cuz that will cause your computer to get the black screen

If you have HP, you can try Destructive Recovery.
- Turn OFF your PC
- When HP Logo appear, press F8
- Select Destructive Recovery
This method will format your pc,and restore corrupted files.
The white line flashing is your OS trying to load, the fact it gets that far means that the BIOS should be fine. This means something happened to corrupt your OS or hard drive. First off, I'd try repeatedly hitting F8 or delete, right after the computer starts, which ever will bring you to your boot selection and try booting to safe mode, if you can not access this menu then you're going to have to get a Windows CD either buy it or torrent it and burn it onto a disk from another computer.
