How it works:
This Bot does Essence to Defeat Reagent (id: 570) for dark crystal shards
It accepts the following items:
Defeated Makai x50
Escherion's Chain
Strand of Vath's Hair
O-dokuro's Tooth

Yes it's from quest only but since you have it you can always try again when you get stronger or is Thanatos Paragon Pet..in Adventure Quest Worlds (AQW) Discussions - If you don't have another paragon pet and you are part of the legion. I recommend you to buy it.
The Evolved Thanatos armor is a nice bonus too.
