Who do you support for minion?

Coders would be Preoccupied with their work whereas a Minion that doesnt code could spend a lot more time on the site etc
although it would be handy having a minion who knew C++

I don't exactly follow through with you there. Personally, as a promotor of the game hacking community in general, I'd just like someone active and mature. If they can code, it shouldn't be looked down upon (as you're inferring), but as a bonus. :]

What they are talking about is that coding alone isn't nearly a good enough reason for them to be minion. Don't get me wrong if a minion can code then that'd be a great bonus, but what the section needs in a minion is for them to be helpful, active, efficient, responsible, and being able to manage the CA Section. Look at Blood for instance, sure he was a pretty badass coder, but when he got minion he wasn't doing nearly as much as the others and what was required. I hope that helps

your side of the argument is, i must admit, favorable. a minion doesnt need to release stuff, but a knowledge of programming would be a good plus.

we need a minion for the coding section alone. and that person must have activity in that section and knowledge to "sift through the bullshit" threads as you have said.

It's either just a help thread or an address/source code/base release/similar. It's just a whole bunch of moving threads xD

there are definitely threads that need to be moderated in the coding section, such as all those auto on/hotkey "Bases" people have "made" in the past week or so.

I'm not saying Coding should be looked down upon. I agree with you but I'm just saying a person with 300 posts won't get minion because they can code hacks.
