There's a lot of drama concerning Marijuana, 99% of it is bullshit. Let me go ahead a lay down a few facts that I know.

-Yearly deaths from Marijuana= 0
-Hemp was the primary crop grown by George Washington at Mount Vernon
-Most of marijuana’s short-term effects wear off within two or three hours.

Being a frequent user myself, I have experienced these effects first hand, and honestly I don't see the big deal. If drunks are able to get their fix at bars and gas stations, then why can't we? It would become a multi-million dollar industry, it already is really, just underground.

I really hope Proposition 19 passes in California, which makes marijuana legal for anybody over the age of 18.
Personally, I would rather have it be 25, since that's when the human brain stops developing. But I really don't care.
Plus, it'll be MUCH easier for me to get it. Once alcohol was legalized, kids could get their hands on it easily. Think how easy it would be for us to get marijuana, with a store every corner, and with each person having their own 4-foot garden.

I hate ignorant people. All they say is "Oh it's bad for you and bitch nag shit fuck." I ask them, "So how is it dangerous?" All they can do is look at me, and go back to nagging that it's dangerous. They can't answer a fucking question because they don't know anything.

And I swear to god the next time someone tells me it's bad I'm going to kick them in the teeth.

Weed for the most part was originally made illegal for racial purposes. Back in the day hispanics used it regularly, and black jazz and blues artists would smoke it all the time in the club. This was in the early 1900's, so it was made illegal in a few racist states to oppress the minorities more then with just segregation and get them in jail. False research and propaganda was spread to support these claims of harms. Since alcohol was something that was vastly used by everyone in far greater numbers then people who used weed (people were actually still ignorant of its uses), the fight against alcohol was lost, but weed could still be but on the no use list. As time went by its use was increased to the likes of hippies, which the government didn't like any better. And further on, research was done to see if weed could profit the government more through making it illegal or legal. They found that they profit more from getting paid off to bring it in, bust them, get money off of people in jail, and rehash it for more profit. While over long periods of time the stuff could some what have a negative effect, so could be said about anything, just on what level of damage. The paranoia of weed is at a time of dulling down since so many more facts are coming out about it, so it is just a matter of time before it is legalized. Its just gonna be harder when the main users you see using it being show on tv are the type of people that the people in power dont like. Either way, within the next decade it will change.
