Ok, heres how muscle is actually formed. We are all born with muscle, its what moves out body, limbs, etc. Whenever we do an anaerobic activity, micro fibers in the muscle shred. Protein is what makes this muscle bigger. When a muscle shreds after a workout, protein in the system, will be sent to that muscle and is usually placed, in between the shreds as a recovery. If the muscle recovers in time, and there is another consistent attempt in shredding (working out) muscle, and then eating protein to recover and "fill in" the shreds, the muscle expands. This happens alot with anaerobic activities, it happens in aerobic activities as well. This is what gives you that sore feeling, or that "gosh my muscles feel tired" feeling. But keep in mind, that aerobic dosent shred muscle very much, but in some form of movement it does, it more so trims then it does rip. Anaerobic, is what rips muscle fiber .
