Cant open injectors

hey guys another player in need of your help.

as i open the injector i get an error. (im not a total newbie, yes it is extracted >.<)

'to run this application, you first must install one of the following versions of the .NET framework:
v4.0.40419'

i have gone and searched this and downloaded the setup files for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (standalone installer). my problem here is that i cant run the installer as it comes up with 'Choose the program you want to use to open this file:'

any ideas how to bypass this and download .NET Framework 4 with a program i currently have?

Try this version of net framework.

There is no way you can bypass this, you NEED net framework to open the injector.

Would another cause be because i dont have the lastest update on my OS? i have Windows XP SP3, but hasnt been updated in ages. im at work ATM so when i get home i'll try a few things.

ok well, i'll try update the OS and see if it works then. good thing i'm getting a new pc with latest programs and updates

Been there done that. didnt work because i dont have the program to run .Net Framwork 4 setup

can someone please close the thread. through some study and downloading of about 4 different things i managed to download .NET Framework and start an injector.
