woo, i came 2nd in long jump.

I know most of you don't /care - but i feel like posting my 'achievement'

Well i had sports day today and i jumped 4.70m [1st was 4.80m in my year [i'm 14]] :') i know for some that isn't much and that's like just a little over half way from the WR [pff no chance of me getting close to the WR ] ~ sadly, the running zone [w/e the fuck you wanna call it] for the pit was wet/slippery so i couldn't sprint to my fullest and my 1st and 2nd jump was pretty meh. Though i made up for the meh-ness with my 3rd, but it was still meh-ish...

Also, i took part in 3 x 100M relay and came second but on both the events i had done, the conditions wasn't the best [wet/damp conditions] and i had no studs/cleats for the running - anyways - because of the 'slippery-ness', it fucked over my center of gravity about 50m in [as i like to keep my body low] and i stumbled for a few moments, which lost me about a meter :s ~ buuut, the 2nd leg runner made up for it and the 3rd leg runner was meh at the start, then made about a 4-5m lead at the straight and then fizzled out at the end so we came second by about an inch :')

I used to do the long jump myself. Ran for 2 years way back in high school. Furthest I ever got was like 18.7 ft unfortunately (qualifying is 20) However, my coach suggested I try doing the triple jump, and after learning how to do it right, my first real jump I hit 39'. Qualifying is 40'. I qualified for regionals at my second meet.
