Well I maybe looking at running servers in the future but I'm hope to start in games development and I want a CPU that isn't gonna be afraid of physics engines. The alternative is that I overclock the shit outta my FX-6100

or get a 8350 and overclock it?

really nothing except that it performs better than his processor,he doesn't need a new motherboard and he gets a good processor. that enough for you?

What is the need of getting an extra two cores over a hex core?
It won't perform much better in real applications

well if we are thinking like that getting a Xeon wouldn't be that much of an upgrade anyway and if hes upgrading anyway he could just get a 8350 that will push up his performance in a lot of graphic design programs and such which could be good if he's going too start in game design+ he doesn't need a new motherboard
