So should I get an SSD? Because I am going to put an OS system on it. Does this work? (Champing at the bit) *Yes it is champing, the original term is champing: look it up* : SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DL004 / HD105SI 1TB 5400 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s : Newegg.com - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 ST1000DL004 / HD105SI 1TB 5400 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Get a 256 SSD and the TB. Install your OS on the SSD and store all files on the TB drive. Watch your boot time go from a minute or so to about 7-15 seconds. SSD's are basically giant flash drives (like the one in an iPod). I have a 256 SSD for my OS and DAW and they both boot/load incredibly fast in comparison to when they were on HDD's.
