Honestly it all depends on your social class (or a large factor) since Democrats focus on social programs helping lower classes (hence why you tend to see the lower minority races and low income families voting Democratic) whereas the middle (somewhat) to upper-class tend to vote Republican since they tend to favor lower taxes (and much more that favor the rich over the poor).

Imo, I'd prefer Republicans over Democrats.

I'm upper middle class, though, so I don't think that distinction has had much of an effect on my political viewpoint.

I don't give a shit about either Party.
But... it seems to me that a lot of the Lower Class vote Republican. It makes no sense. Owsley County, Kentucky earns the lowest median household income in the country but they are 99.22% white and 95% Republican.
