    I receive a similar error message when I try "mat_reloadallmaterials" without having first used "sv_cheats 1", OR without having joined my own server yet. Make sure you (from the main menu) goto Servers>(+)>Start to create your own listen-server on any map (the default one will be fine whatever it is). If you're not on your own server, then "sv_cheats 1" probably won't work (about 99.9%, unless you've actually found a pub with cheats turned on) , and then "mat_reloadallmaterials" won't work (properly). If you had already done all of that and still had those issues, then I currently have no idea. I'll look into it shortly.

    did you put it on the custom file, or override the original file?

    now i got a problem here, ive been messing out with the launch options, and i think i broke my tf2, first the skybox wont show up, and then the water is missing its texture, also in order for this hack to work, i need to create my own server, put sv_cheats 1 and mat_reloadallmaterials... everytime i launch the game, got any suggestion on how to fix it?

    I don't know about the texture problem, might need to reinstall TF2. About mat_reloadallmaterials, you would need to ask Zeraxis why that has to be done. However, I have a fix that makes it much more painless. I added a script to the end of my autoexec.cfg to do it all automatically when I start TF2, the whole process finishes itself in about 10 seconds.

    map "X"; wait "Z"; sv_cheats 1; mat_reloadallmaterials; sv_cheats 0; disconnect
    For "X", go to your map folder (Team Fortress 2\tf\maps) find the smallest .BSP in there (to decrease loading time, for me it was achievement_idle) put that in place of X [example: map ctf_2fort;]. For "Y", enter "cl_showfps 2", then use a stopwatch to time how long it takes you to load the map you used for X. Take the number of seconds it took to load, add 1, then multiply that number by your average FPS and enter it for Y. For me it was "1000" (about 4 seconds, ~300 fps with no V-Sync), so [wait 1000;].

    can you teach me how to scripting? i use map_background "itemtest" cus its the only map that has the lowest loading time, and i need your help on how to automatically executing sv_cheats 1, and mat_reloadallmaterials

    i think you can set it, if im not mistaken, through some serious of "mat" commands, or i think its just depends on the wall youre facing, in a certain map, it goes way far, even when im on a skybox, i can see it, on other map, it only last for several meters
