Yes. You should most definitely not compare HTML/CSS and other style/markup languages, to programming languages. I've said it before, and yet I'm stuck having to say it again. Programming is in so many ways different from scripting, which is what you are with a webbrowser based language, like HTML, CSS.
Does it kill you to differentiate the two types of coding? I'd say no, it's only a little more text, and it surely makes you look less of an noob.
A think of all those people who are new to the hole coding genre, do you think it's smart to feed the false information? because of YOUR signature.
. Most people were born with a brain and can easily differentiate between what HTML/CSS is, and what a proper programming language is. I really don't care who the first apparent programmer was, I'm not even 100% sure why you thought that it would be relevant to bring that up tbh.

Programming is not for mathematicians, mathematicians can become great programmers (obviously) but you don't have to be a mathematician to become a great programmer. The ability to reason logically and clearly is far more valuable than any mathematical knowledge. Sure, a retard might not be a good programmer, but then again a retard may not be good at anything...your argument to that score is entirely invalid.

Here are the math levels in my state
    1A/1B <- retard
    1B/1C <- stupid
    2A/2B <- dumb
    2C/2D <- low
    3A/3B <- average
    3C/3D <- high
    3C/3D Specialist <- highest.

I did both 3C/3D and 3C/3D specialist in my final year at school. The requirement maths for the top university in the state fro Computer Science is a strong pass in Math 2C/2D. It's hardly a difficult prereq to meet.

@Cookie. You are the only person here who can't even form an argument, so I ask you to please keep your useless comments to yourself.

Jason, why do you keep feeling so offended.
I'm not trying to offend you, or prove you wrong. I agree he's a retard.

I'm just saying it doesn't help anyone if you argue with him (or me).
And if you don't react to him he can't argue with you either. (Which means he will only post onces)

    So stop flaming each other.

    Thank you.

You are one fucking retarded kid.
Every institute has its own standards. You can't assume that difficulty level to be the same for everyone. For Example; A month and a half ago I gave an entry test for Finnish Universities. I have applied for Bachelors in Information Technology. The math questions were very basic. Like very basic algebra. And there were like 3 logic questions which were also super easy.
Programming languages are for almost everyone with a decent brain. Mathematics is not a prerequisite for it. It's for people who want to have fun with computers. And why the fuck are you bringing the first programmer woman ? What relevance does it have ?
+ I don't know why your caring level is so high for the stuff in Jason's signature. Can't you just spend some time learning some good shit ? I am really tired of your ignorant and crappy posts in this section. Guys here will actually like you if you really know something.

You're wrong, again. The human ability to understand logic has nothing to do with understanding, that HTML/CSS are different from programming.

Why do you think Mathematicians are the ones making the programming languages, and not some kid on a forum? Because what he applies to the language is from hes knowledge in math. A mathematician knows a great deal, that we regulars don't. If you ever had seen Computer science education, in action, or if you ever have been to a semester with it, you would notice how much math it requires.
The fact that you're saying it hasn't to do with math, is just laughable. I can only imagine a kid from elementary school, stating something so ridiculous and illogical.

ROFL. Mate, I've already sat through a whole semester of Computer Science so please don't try to make shit up about it, because I do it and I'm averaging 90%+ in all the courses we've studied so far. Hassan is another Computer Science student (albeit he's 1 year ahead of me in the course), and he's also saying math doesn't have a high bearing in it. Stop picking at the minorities for one thing. The percentage of people who graduate Computer Science and go on to found, or help found, a new language that is a strong competitor in today's market is insanely low. If you take your average/high achieving computer science student, you'll find that math isn't that important in really...anything. Sure you need the basic maths skills to follow some equations, loops, expressions..etc. But being a mathematician? Don't make me laugh.

What someone thinks about my signature has no bearing on pretty much anything, yet you keep referring to it like it's the godforesaken gospel and that if someone reads it their life will be ruined and they will never again be able to function because what they read on a kids hacking site MUST BE TRUE. Shit you're retarded.

    You really don't get it

Wdf are you trying to prove?

Okay fine you're right and better.
    Happy?

Now please don't say anything anymore.

I still stand by my point(As you have failed to disprove of it). If this is a kid's hacking site, why'd you join it? You're clearly not a kid, right?

Including Shit, retard, or other swear words for that matter, does not make you seem any less of a kid. Fact is, when you swear, you're showing me that you're unable to have a calm discussion (not including that this is the Internet, ofcourse)

As i stated before, people who are new to all this, who read your signature will be misguided.

I'm here because I joined a while ago, I like a good deal of the members in the programming section too, which is why I have stayed.. I'm not even sure which point you're standing by any more, as most of them have been useless.

Are you standing by the first programmer being a woman....or perhaps that markup language != a programming language... or was it some other completely irrelevant "point" that you threw in there that no-one actually paid any attention to.

As for swearing making you look like a "kid" I really couldn't care less, if you're easily offended by coarse language, that's your problem, not mine. I will continue to talk to way I talk on the internet, whether it makes me look like a kid or not doesn't particularly bother me.
