Regarding The Fake Releases

Hello, everyone. Since some of you have already made a few threads in order to gain a deeper insight into the matter in question, I have decided to make this thread with the purpose of explaining you all about what happened and how it happened. Let me start off by saying that while we are sorry for what happened, we are not at fault for it. All the hacks released by the user acPH were all fake and they were made with the purpose of getting the CS:GO accounts of everyone who decided to use it VAC banned, yes, it is true. Now, you all must be wondering, how did the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Minions/Moderators not manage to find out about it sooner? Simple, because we are in charge of making sure that every single attachment/hack/file that gets approved is not viral and such, which the hacks in question were not. It is not our job to test the quality of whatever gets approved, (although we do try to do so whenever possible), especially for a game such as Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which is not free and one single mistake and we can be out of an account just like everyone else. This is also the reason why we post the "/Approved, post back results. Use at your own risk." disclaimer after approving an attachment/hack/file, which you agree to by downloading whatever gets approved by us.

However, if you wish to minimize the risk of such a thing ever happening again, then please read the following:

You can minimize the risk by testing with CS:GO in insecure + LAN mode using bots before doing anything else.

Start a match with bots, test the hack, whatever. Reset the parameters once you want to restore to normal online mode.

As for what has been done regarding the user in question, his MPGH account has been permanently banned and all the traces of his existence on MPGH have been completely removed as well. This thread will remain stuck temporarily for awareness purposes.
