URGENT: Attention all MPGH Members

We discovered a significant issue with the current forum setup for MPGH. Our forum was mis-configured improperly such that all staff members were able to access our private MPGH Bank section, which has all credentials for our website's Bank Accounts, Paypal, Bitcoin, Amazon GC, and other money pools. It appears that this section had been accessible for at least 5+ years, without our knowledge, and no staff member reported to us this mis-configuration in the last 5+ years it was accessible. Due to this breach of trust, we have decided to suspend all MPGH staff member positions outside of Global Moderator or higher, permanently.

As for the MPGH Bank section, we have tallied up that due to this access, hundreds of thousands of dollars were siphoned out of the MPGH Bank fund, which paid for our expensive beowulf cluster servers that cost $5,000-$8,000 monthly. Due to this significant loss of capital gathered over years, we are unable to determine if we are able to host MPGH for the forseeable future. We have contacted the FBI in hopes to recover the lost funds, and track down the staff member who stole our money.

Our suspected thief has been narrowed down one of these members, and all of them have been dishonorably removed from their staff positions:

We have a grunt script to auto update our passwords every 24 hours to 48 alphanumeric + symbolic password, it's impossible to bruteforce and the only way to have access to the accounts is to be a current staff member.

I also have another question. Being part of the News Force, both the Head Editor and Editor are one of the suspects. Being unable to communicate to them, would the News Force continue or a new Head Editor be chosen while this matter is unfolding?

That doesnt mean shit. He purchased a VPN from me and he even shared screens with me for me to help him set it up. You would think even if he did do it he would be ultra cautious about it if it was such a high amount. It wasn't @DarkLordXYZ

You should of did a better job at electing minions to serve you. It is your own faults why this has happen, specifically yours and not the actual owner of the site because you are(to my knowledge) the head admin who probably over sees these things. I've seen threads asking for minions that only required 500 posts to become one. Is post count or anything of that nature really relative to trust? Out of all the minions who must of saw all of our information, there was so many decent minions like @JamesRo and @Raple and this @Boombox guy, can you really justify retaliating at your community for laughing at your own poor judgement?

I'd just like to point out, most minions probably were not even aware if this. If there was access to every donator's privacy, then more trouble with people being DoX'd or hacked should of been brought to MPGH's attention. It is my belief that this is poor judgement skills on your behalf, the minions (who knew about this) behalf, and the people who may of been compromised by this but didn't figure out where or who did it.

shame on you, shame on the minions who knew, shame on everyone but dave, just my honest opinion.

I believe the person who did it won't disclose it so easily in this regard as he seems to have stolen a multitude of money.

Was banning all the staff permanently really necessary? I know this is pretty fucked up. But TBH, This is a hacking site so it should have been expected at some point. Also, now your threatening ppl with a ban if they say something you dont like? Im not talking about wat happened, just how your saying it. So this does not apply. Also, you just talking weird, like declaring ppl enemies and banning "swiftly", MPGH is a website, not a nation, gang, or pack of marauding bandits. it does not justify flowery language and actually makes the troll problem worse. 1. A section has been public to all staffmembers. No one ever posted in there, or reported anything about it.
2. The amount of views are probably way too high for it to be just for admins, no one ever considered that?
3. Security wise to me it is extremely, extremely stupid to post all that information on the forum... Especially with that amount of money
