VBOTW#3: Let's make a game, guys!

Basic Rules:

NextGen is not allowed to enter , he have expensive tools and a few other coders on his side, it wouldn't be fair.

Lolland can't enter because he'll obviously see the competitor's programs before they're released.

Voting will be based MAINLY on the GUI of the program, and also on the functionality/execution.

Unlike the other competitions on this forum, all applications will go up at the same time, there will be no pre-submissions

Submit your application to Lolland Via PM/VM/Email and He will upload them for you.

All members will be able to vote.

You will not be permitted to Vote for your own application, if you decide to vote it must be for one of your competitors.

Any bribery of any sort will result in immediate disqualification.

Any Leeching or stealing of apps will result in a disqualification and also result in breaking the rules of this section and MPGH Mod staff will be notified where they can take any appropriate action.

If you plan to submit an application be sure it is "your application", as NextGen and Lolland will be very thorough with the applications to ensure safety and that the application is actually yours.

NO TUTORIALS! That means you can't go to youtube and search for a tutorial for your application.

Advanced Rules/Application Tasks:
This week we're gonna make a game in VB

The winner will be chosen by the community based on these 3 factors:

1. GUI
2. Functionality/Performance of the GUI
3. Execution of the program
4. Enjoyability of the game.

ALL SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE NEXT SUNDAY AT 12:01AM CST. Voting will take place on Sunday around that time, and will continue until Monday.

3. Counter-Strike:Source

The winner will receive a signature reward, as well as have his name added to a list of winners on Lolland's flash drive, which will later be uploaded to Lolland's or NextGen's website.

no look ] idc how good the fucking code is if u have buttons i cant see im not using ur stuff gui does matter want a good gui not random messy stuff.(don't flame me im just stating a point)

both of those factors are important, actually GUI is more important nowadays then the memory factor, because almost any computer can deal with standard software without many problems (im not talking about games now), and a person who is going to buy software will most likely choose the one with best GUI... (it might change with a big software ordered by a company, but still...)

I suggested before what you are saying here too.. because i think that code is quite important... how clean and good it looks.. Although GUI is important too..

About the game... well.. i think that GUI shouldn't be important.. but code, yea it should be more important this time. way more then GUI.

No premades, you should make it from scratch otherwise it's not fair on people that only started during the week timeframe.
