AKS-74U Review

Now as you can see, it says the accuracy is ak high, which is bs. I know it should be ak high being an ak, but it isn't. The power is high for an smg. It's actually the only smg, to my knowledge, that one hits in the head.

• First thoughts

The first thing i thought when i saw it, was wtf purely because of the looks, it's like they've got an ak put it into a vice, lengthways, and crushed it.

• Is it really an ak?

Judging by cf, you would expect it to be a mini ak and I would have loved to say, it reminds me of an ak, but it just doesn't. It's too inaccurate (Not recoil, your shots aren't ak pin point accurate.) and it's not powerful enough. They've turned a gun which isn't meant to be sprayed with, to one which is. If anything it reminds me of a kia

• Power

As I said before, it's not got ak power. It's as powerful as a kia, with a slower firerate, around the same accuracy, and more recoil.

• Recoil

Very high, it's meant to be an smg but it feels like it has the recoil of an assault rifle, thus the power of an assualt rifle. Which it doesn't have, giving it quite a long kill-time compared to other guns in this game.

• Reload

Reloads with the same action of a normal ak, but quicker.

• Range/accuracy

It's a sprayers gun, simple as. Typical smg imo, although i think it has a slight increase of accuracy other other smgs. It's best used at close range, no doubts about it. Judging by it's range you'll wanna use it for GM/TDM Maybe even escape, although I never play that. Actually, it'll probably be good for escape because it's light.

• Price

Average zp-timed guns, 2.6k for 7 days, higher for 30 + 90 days. Don't know the real figures, if someone does post it and I'll editted it in.

• Is it worth it?

No. Really it should be gp and permanent. I highly discourage against buying it, in fact is would discourage buying any zp gun which is timed, they're a rip off.

• Overall

It's not a bad gun at all, you can live with it easily. But it's for sprayers and not for an ak user like me. I bought it expecting it to be an ak just easier to mange with a slight power decrease, but it's not. It's not difficult to use but the power should be higher.

• Who should use it?

If you've been using say an m4a1, xm8 or any of the assault rifle's but want to use an ak, you should buy this for nothing more than 7 days, anything more is a complete waste, use it for the full 7 days. Then switch to the ak, you'll find getting used to the ak will be a lot easier.

As you can see it's power and accuracy are high for an assault rifle, almost near the ak, all other stats are average.

• First thoughts

It reminds me of a scar light but it has 35 shots per magazine and 105 in reserve. And it's also very very average.

• Power

Strong. Not ak power, but higher than say an m4a1, xm8 or tar. Probably higher than an scar light.

• Recoil

It doesn't have too much and the spray is very predictable. very manageable.

• Reload

Reasonable, it's not mp5 speed but nor is it scar heavy speed. It's mediocre, like most of the gun itself.

• Range/accuracy

m4a1 styled accuracy, maybe a little more. i've got a couple of kills spraying down the map due to it's low and predictable spread. Movement hardly changes it.

• Firerate
  

Faster than most, but again not mp5/uzi fast. But it's kill-time is fast compared to other assault rifles.

• Price

Gp BM crate grand prize. Just where it belongs.

• Is it worth it?

If you have the spare gp, and the luck. Yes it is, i personally got it in less that 20 crates, so for me it's cheaper than the other guns in the item shop, and better.

• Overall

It's completely and 100% average. But it's not bad in any way, it's like the scar light expect you won't be called a noob for using it.

• Who should use it?

Anyone who enjoys using assault rifles, in an offensive play style, the spread hardly changes from standing still to moving.. For campers, there are better guns ie rpk.

• First thoughts

Epic skins, I really think they dev's have done a good job on these guns. When i used this for the first time, after using the normal m4a1 for a long time, the first thing you notice is the spray is tighter. And ofc the added silencer is a great touch.

• Reminds me of a..

Nothing, there isn't a gun that's like this. Think of a type 88 on steroids.

• Power

Mediocre for an assault rifle, but by the fact it has a silencer makes it very respectable. Quick kill-time isn't just due to it's power but due to the tight spray and fast fire rate. I'm glad adding a silencer hasn't killed this gun, like they sometimes do on games.

• Recoil

Low considering it's an assault rifle, obviously due to the silencer. It's recoil is very tight: Medium range, full firing, you'll hit most shots if your crosshair is in the right spot... And they aren't moving, which will rarely happen.

• Reload

Considering the 5+ ammo increase, the reload rate is good. There's not a noticeable change from the original m4a1, maybe the same?

• Range/accuracy

Short-Med, which you can (barely) get just by holding your finger down. If your going for anything too long you'll need to burst fire, aiming for the neck. Usually you'll get a hs, unless your a single shotter then aim straight at their melon shaped head.

• Price

8.9k bp for silver and zp crates/bought for duration for the adv. which is pretty good, i would make it for less bp but i guess they gotta make money, right?

• Is it worth it?

Imo, yes. You shouldn't buy the 89k zp purely for this gun, that side of it is a rip off but thinking you can get this gun for "free" and keep your zp it's good.

• Overall

Very good, added silencer + great skin are just amazing add ons, making it perfect for gm or even snd.

• Who should use it?

Anyone who plays gm/snd with high volume or someone who just wants a bling, beautifully looking gun which is also deadly

the first thing you notice is the very high power/accuracy. Then you see the fire rate, it's just not there. At all. Although it is so much faster than the normal Winchester, it's still slow as fuck.

As you can see, the scope is just the average 1.5x zoom.
And the looks, well, decide for yourself but i hate the look of this gun. A lot. First of all the scope? I mean, it's a psg scope. They've lost their imagination. Then the random red lines? Just stupid.

• First thoughts

Looks, striking. But will it just be a Winchester "with a scope"? Before i'd bought the gun, I'd been told about the crappy zoom. So that wasn't a massive surprise but it really ruins the gun.

• It is just the Winchester?

Sort of. It handles just like a Winchester, same recoil/power/accuracy although it's fire rat and reload speed are MUCH faster. Nearly twice the speed in fact.

• Power

When you see the ingame stats, and the fact it got a scope, you'd expect it to have around dragonuv power right? Wrong. It can one hit at point blank range, although I've had a couple of 97/98/99 hits. The thing about the Winchester, which makes it a failchester, it's the fact that at long range the power goes down so much. It can take 11 hits to kill someone from long range, and it doesn't even one hit in the head at long range. Very very much like a shotgun.

• Recoil

It's bolt action, so there really isn't much at all. You can decently spray people down, if you call it spraying.

• Reload

It holds up to 10 bullets, but you can to add each on individuality making it very long. Although it has the shotgun feature of stopping in the middle of your reload, it doesn't fire instantly and you still need to cock it. Usually causing death.

• Range/accuracy

Range is just, none existent with very high accuracy. It reminds me so much of a shotgun.

• Price

40k gp, which is actually pretty cheap imo.

• Is it worth it?

Yes, if you want to put the time in to become good at it. It's not a gun you pick up and own with it straight away, it takes time to get used to.

• Overall

Overall it's a good gun, but the range ruins it for me completely. I would use it constantly if it had the range, but as seen as it doesn't... It's gunna rot in my storage with my other failchester.

• Who should use it?

Anyone with a lot of time on their hands, seriously. You need loads.

High power for being semi-auto, even high accuracy for it.

That picture shows all five shots in quick succession, holding the mouse down which is a great feature you can use.

• First thoughts

Sounds badass with such a fast firing rate. Low ammo for the fire rate, you can fire all the shots of in just over a second I believe. The fire rate is so fast, you'll beat almost all awm snipers just by the fact your fast at moving than they are.

• Reminds me of a..

Psg, on drugs. It's a psg with a badass scope, badass sound, badass fire rate. Yeah it's a badass psg. It even looks like a badass psg.

• Power

It's actually quite high for a semi-auto sniper, you will rarely not get a two hit kill, if it's even possible. Headshot is one hit kill any range, but imo you don't even need to it's so fast.

• Recoil

Only really visible if you hold your finger down, other than that you will hardly notice it. The highest recoil of any other sniper, but still it doesn't make much difference to it.

• Reload

Fast. Faster than all the other sniper rifles, nearly smg fast. Although it doesn't seem it, it really is. It's a reload that's not gunna kill you.

• Range/accuracy

Any range, the scope only has one setting but you can easily snipe over maps. near enough 100% accurate, maybe a little less. You will miss, but rarely.

• Price

Gp BM crate. Where it belongs, people might argue it should be item shop, but I think if it was it would ruin it. Too many people who use it whereas sniping matches on this game are dominated by dsr/awm/dragonuv.

• Weight

Light for a sniper imo, ok it's heavier than other assault rifles but it's a darn sight lighter than all the other snipers. Perfect for run + gun style sniping, if you like that sort of thing.. Which I don't.

• Is it worth it?

If you have the luck and the gp, yes. Very. I would highly highly recommend this gun to everyone, I've had loads of fun playing with it

• Overall

Nice gun, very nice. It's not the sniper rifle I would personally choose, because I don't usually like semi-auto snipers but this is without a doubt the best, expect ofc psg red.

• Who should use it?

If you've used a psg, and you've loved it. You'd like this gun, it is just a badass psg. I get an eyegasm every time I see it

It's just an ak with different skins, but that doesn't stop it looks epic. I love the shine they've created on the silver. If you notice theirs a hammer and sickle emblem just above handle (Behind the ammo sign on those screenshots)

• First thoughts

I thought it was an ak with 5+ ammo and a skin. It's not. It's more powerful and with less recoil/tighter spread. Not that playing with it you'll notice that much, it's such a slight buff it doesn't make any difference to the gun whats so ever.

• Is is really an ak?

The first gun i bought on this game was the ak-74, next was the ak-47 and over a year of playing i still haven't changed. So once I got these guns I was completely used it to. I must confess, I didn't notice any difference in the power/spray until I actually tested it properly.

• Power

More than the average ak, only a little though. So you will have an advantage over all other guns, apart from sniper rifles ofc. In any 1v1 at close range, you gunna win, simple as. Unless your against someone else with an ak there are no excuses. It only takes at highest 5 shots to kill, which gives it such a fast kill-time against other guns.

• Recoil

High, very high. But you lot will have already know that, right?Here's a tip: Use the 1st or 2nd crosshair and if you start spraying use the top line of the crosshair to aim, and you won't miss much.

• Reload

For the power, it's actually very reasonable. You can just get away with reloading after every kill if that's what you do. Although I don't reload after every kill, it rarely fails for me as it needs such a low ammo count to get kills.

• Range/accuracy

Highest assault rifle accuracy of ANY gun, giving it an unbeatable range vs all the others. If you shoot at their neck for 2-3 shots, you'll get a hs. But what people who've use the gun for long enough do is a thing called "single shotting". I'm sure you've heard of it. You aim at the head, fire once, their dead.

• Rate of fire

Although it doesn't have the highest rof, it has the best imo. You can easily control how many shots you fire. Whether it be 1 shot, 2 shots 3 shots or the whole clip, your in total control.

• Price

6.9k bp for silver and 7 days for zp/zp crate low reward/ gp crate perm highest. Seeing as they are near enough the same gun, 6.9k bp is very high, it's 69k zp to get it, which can take a long time with surv3ys, trust me on this.

• Is it worth it?

The camo, without a doubt yes. But the silver? No. As seen as you can get the camo rather cheaply compared with the silver and as far as i can tell they are exactly the same gun... It just seem's like a massive rip off.

• Overall

Great, great guns. My storage wouldn't be the same without them, but if you have camo? Don't waste the bp on silver. I got the silver before i got the camo, but if I could I would sell the silver. It's a waste, unless of course your a collector.

• Who should use it?

Ak users. The 5+ ammo gives atleast an extra kill and will save your bacon time after time.

As you can see, it certainly has a striking appearance. I can't say I'm in love with it tbh. It seems a little bright for me, but hey it looks better than the normal m4a1, right? They seem to have lost a bit of imagination when you kill someone, it just says crystal. I would have liked it to be a more blueish colour.

• First thoughts

When I first saw it I thought 80 coupons was stupidly high for just an m4a1 silver. But infact, it's not an m4a1 silver, it's worse. Much much worse. 30/90 ammo not even extended, and it's spray (Imo) seems higher than the silver's, although semester dissagree's with me.

• Reminds me of a..

M4a1 silver. It seem's like z8 brought out the silver too soon. If they brought out the crystal first, it would have seemed as if the guns are steadily improving. And not like this, they bring out silver's/adv/custom and then this one. Your gunna think, woohoo another m4a1! It'll be amazing, it's crystal as well! Wrong. they've really failed with this gun.

• Power

4 shot kill chest, 5 in limbs, one hit head. In other words, m4a1 style. No buff's what's so ever, making is pretty much useless considering there's better m4a1's, for a cheaper price.

• Recoil

As i said before, I feel it's spray is more loose than the silver, although other people think it's tighter. I haven't used it much, so i might be wrong but it defiantly feels different.

• Reload

Apparently it's faster than the normal m4a1, but I really can't see it. Think of the m4a1 silver reload, and your there. Simple as. Everything seem's coypied from that gun.

• Range/accuracy

Very good accuracy, standard m4a1. Headshot any range, one hit kill. Not ak accuracy but m4a1 accuracy. It's pretty good at this, but not the best in any way.

• Price

Very very expensive.. 80 coupons. Total rip off imo.

• Is it worth it?

Nooooooooooo waayyyyyyyyyyy, I mean if you really want an m4a1 crystal... Get a custom. It's cheaper and better. 5+ ammo and a scope, it's just so much better.

• Overall

It's not a hugely bad gun, but there's guns which are pretty much the same but better. It's just a complete rip off and a gun I will never buy.

• Who should use it?

No-one. Everyone should use another m4a1 variant. Also, noobs with rush to your dead body time and time. If you don't like that? Don't buy this gun. It's bright as anything so you'll get seen easily.

As you can see it has very low power although it one hits in the head. It also says it has no fire rate, but in fact it's almost as fast as you can click, a little bit slower in my case. High accuracy, even though they're two. On the stat's it says 14/28 but you actually get 14/42. Even though you burn through the 42 spare ammunition quickly.

Looks great, I really like the way the dev's have coloured this gun.

• First thoughts

Looks amazing. Not bad power considering ammo count, I especially like the image which comes up when you kill someone, with the shadow on the second colt.

• Reminds me of a..

Colt. Simple as. It's pretty much just two colts, there literally isn't any noticeable difference in the power/accuracy although it states they've both been buffed.

• Power

Pretty good tbh. It's not deagle power, but you'll usually one hit in the head. I think it's very balanced compared with the other high magazine pistols, just slightly higher than the others.

• Recoil

More than most handguns, which is what you would expect from two guns. It's still very manageable, and once again balanced compared with the other high magazine pistols. Although, it's the best of what I would call a high magazine pistol.

• Reload

Not too shabby, you have two so you'll expect it to be slow. But you'll expect it to be slower than what it actually is. And not to mention you'll fire one shot just to reload... The animation is just so fucking awesome. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly suggest you watch a youtube vid of it.

• Range/accuracy

High accuracy, again judging by how you've got two in your hand.
It's accuracy is higher than most pistols, but lower than the deagle or the anaconda. If you think the deagle has ak accuracy, you'll compare the colt's to to an m4a1.

• Price

2.6k zp for 7 days, or low reward in zp crates for 7 days.

• Is it worth it?

Nope, as i've said before. It's not perm so it's a rip off, simple as.

• Overall

Good. Very good. I like them a lot, and would use them over a dec. They go very nicely with an awm especially in gm.

• Who should use it?

People who enjoy "spraying" with handguns, I don't aim for the head with this gun, I aim more for the chest area.

Alright guys, I've been slow in making reviews lately and I'm afraid that's gunna continue for a couple of weeks.

Ok guys, here's the thing.

I'm not gunna be making reviews for a long time, if ever. Long story, can't play cf on this comp.

So I want someone to take over my position, instead of leaving this thread as it is. It seems a waste of a sticky space.

So I'm suggesting you lot post your reviews of an "SG552". The person with the best review get's to take over my spot as being able to review guns.

Thing is, it's a tall order for one person to constantly make reviews of stuff so im suggesting letting more than one review guns. Good idea, eh?

I'm back. (Not really, I've just been able to play cf for a couple of hours and thought I would make you lot a review.)

High accuracy, medium everything else. Pretty standard as assualt rifles go. Sorta like the m4's stats.

Looks, aren't great. It has a bipod for some unknow reason, you can't use it. It seems very bulky to me, and there's a small bug where you get a "fat arm" if you use it with a male char model on the BL side. It's been like that since it came out, and no-one bothered to fix it.

• First thoughts

Silent. It seems like it's silent, I have no idea why it does. But I like it . When I first used this gun, awhile back near when it came out, I really thought it was VERY underpowered. And unless it's got a buff since then, I was wrong. But I'll talk about the power later. This gun does take awhile to get used it.

• Reminds me of a..

M4, it's pretty much an m4 just silenced. Although I believe the m4 has more recoil, and a little bit more power.

• Power

Reasonable. It's not super duper ak style, but it's not smg style. It's low compared to the other assault rifles, but on gm your not gunna notice much difference. on TDM you might loose a couple of CQB fights, but not all of them.

• Recoil

Again, reasonable. It has quiet a lot. Though it's easily controlled due to it's small spread. You won't have trouble with this guns recoil.

• Reload

Slower than a lot of assualt rifles, which I don't understand. But it's not a reload which will get you killed time and time again. You'll live with it, and learn to enjoy it.

• Range/accuracy

Typical assualt rifle, you can one hit hs at any range (I believe). You can single shot well if you like that sort of thing, but it has ZERO recoil for the first 2 shots. So your better off firing two shots, then waiting, firing again. Very quick cool down time, although it's fire rate is too fast to control how many shots you fire 100% of the time. You'll get a lot of 3 or more shots.

40k gp. Just how much it should be. Honestly I think it's an m4a1-adv with 30 shots.

Defiantly.

Very good. It's quiet, light and fast. It's an smg with a silencer + more power than the average smg.

• Who should use it?

People who use sound a lot, but cannot afford a silenced gun. Or simple do not want to waste zp on a gun. I really like how this is gp but almost silenced. It proves z8 actually do think about where to place guns. It's just a huge shame that it's so underrated. If you haven't tried this gun, give it a go.
