"Pro" is subjective.

So you're saying you know what this means?
Also, yeah VBForums has a few pros but being there for a month or so you find that it's the same guys helping all the time, there are still quite a few beginners there as well. I solved a few threads

I started to work as a real developer like 5 months ago after finishing my studies. I won't consider myself PRO in any kind of meaning.
Yea, im working at a Development company, although I'm still to "fresh" and young to consider doing it all my life, it might change. At the moment i'm here to develop mainly Management software. (Using C++ for windows app, ASP.NET & C# for web ones, mostly).
And i Started recently to work with Silverlight 4 to develop for Web.
Like i said i consider myself to young yet.. and i don't have by far as much as experience that Nextgen has as a Developer for sure...

Take courses that interest you. Programming is about approaching a situation and fixing it or making it better, it is about quick thinking and so much more, somethings you can never learn at a school. SCHOOL ROCKS! however, I feel that you will end up learning things you don't need.
Take programming classes that are available to you, tell your councilor (when selecting classes) You want to graduate as a developer and they will suggest courses for you. Computer science may be a good class, it may even be interesting , But a-lot of it is Electronic Engineering and personally I find that boring, I can build custom PC's, and I taught myself their functionalities when I was younger, but to much can hurt my head...
All a bunch of ramble, but to sum it up, Find out what courses ae available to you, then take the ones that interest you, while keeping in mind you want a degree in computer technology. It will help you in your field, I know someone who graduated as a C developer and now works for a very prestigious company in it's development.
