NX< Ingame gold

ok, I was wondering why ingame gold is worth more than nx, a 10k nx card trades for around 60-80m gold on average, but last time i checked, ingame gold doesn't hold any real value other than to people who want to buy it, nx actually cost real world money. Is it me or is this kinda backwards?

The conversion ratio is determined by a few things.
-Cost of amp dyes
-Cost ratio of enhancing to +10 using runes vs. using in game gold
-Cost ratio of enchanting <= +10 using runes vs. using in game gold
-Loosely tied to drop increase to +LUK items

While this may not seem always directly convertible, since we live in a large market with a lot of different things going on, it actually does. Since gold sellers sell most of the gold directly, and dye amps are often the "legit" conversion choice for players, usually their prices most closely reflect the conversion ratios.

ok, this makes sense, was just wondering because the first time i bought gold was nearly a year ago and the nx to gold ratio was way closer, i think i got like 350m for less than 40k nx. maybe the seller was desperate, anyway, thanks for the replies

I don't think it was ever that high. I think it peaked at 10kNX for 100M back in April-June.

Aug 2011 10kNX was 25M, Oct 2011 10kNX was 35M, Jan 2012 was 45M (I keep records of my transactions).
