Attachment Problems
As of 4/25/13, attachments that were posted within 24-48 hours of the 25th have been having problems such as being unable to download them, or the moderators are unable to approve them. Liz made a global announcement about it saying that it should be fixed within the next few days and for all members to be patient. You can find that thread here.

New Staff / Special Pictures Thread 4.0
Flengo, a newly promoted Minion+ created a new Staff and Special Pictures thread to replace Ravallo's outdated one. The version of this one is 4.0. Go figure. The thread is still being updated to make sure all pictures of groups are added, including the News FO and newly resigned Minions in the past few months.

Interview - [MPGH]Vice-Versa

 

Shane: Hi Vice-Versa, how are you? Can I interview you for this weeks issue of MPGH news?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: [/SIZE][/COLOR][/FONT]Sure.[FONT=tahoma][COLOR=Black][SIZE=2]

Shane: So, what brought you to MPGH?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Free hacks. I got pissed that people were hacking and I couldn't fight back.

Shane: You just suck at games. XD What are some of the games you like to play?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: I currently play mostly LoL and CF, and I actually just got a copy of Syndicate for PS3. No preference in games, except I HATE 8/16 bit games.

Shane: What do you like most about MPGH?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Community there.

Shane: I see that you're minion on MPGH, which sections do you moderate?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: A bunch of random less popular ones.

Shane: WHICH ONES?!?!
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Other First Person Shooters, Other Semi-Popular First Person Shooters, League of Legends, Maplestory, Runescape, Other MMORPG.

Shane: Thank you. ^^ When did you get minion for those section and how did you feel when you got it?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: I got it on November 28th, 2012. Was pretty happy since I thought that I finally became CF minion, even though that wasn't what I got...I'm still content with what I am since I also play LoL. Kinda helped in reviving that section.

Shane: Where do you see yourself on MPGH the next few years?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Most likely inactive, but I'll still try to get on since I'm at the beginning of high school and I have lots in front of me in the future.

Shane: Besides being on MPGH/the internet, what are some of your favorite hobbies?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: I do MMA, paintball, airsoft, and track. Never got around to archery, still trying that.

Shane: MMA? You think you can Dave?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Lol Dave told me he would start at the end of March and that he would beat me. Wonder if he even went to a gym yet. If yes, Congratz to Dave.

Shane: You can probably beat Dave, because all he does is eat cake. How do you manage your time on MPGH and real life?
[MPGH]Vice-Versa: Well, I usually go on MPGH before I actually do my own homework, what ever homework I don't do, I do tomorrow morning. As for the sports I play, that comes before MPGH, but I can always find time for MPGH.

Shane: Hi Xebec, how are you today? Can I interview you for this week's issue of MPGH news?
[MPGH]Xebec: I'm fine. And sure.

Shane: That's good. So, how did you find out about MPGH?
[MPGH]Xebec: Searching for crossfire hacks mostly.

Shane: What was your first impression when you registered on MPGH?
[MPGH]Xebec: Just thought all the people here were no lifers.

Shane: Besides Crossfire, what are some of your favorite games?
[MPGH]Xebec: Minecraft and Battlefield.

Shane: I see that you're minion for the Crossfire section, when did you get minion and how did you feel when you got it?
[MPGH]Xebec: I became minion for the crossfire section on December 19, 2013 and I was really happy.

Shane: Great, what do you like most about MPGH?
[MPGH]Xebec: I get to make a lot of friends here.

Shane: How do you manage your time on MPGH and real life?
[MPGH]Xebec: Well during my free times I go on MPGH and help people that are in need.

Shane: Do you have any hobbies?
[MPGH]Xebec: No, no hobbies at all.

Shane: Wow, boring person. Where do you see yourself in the next few years on MPGH?
[MPGH]Xebec: Well I might see myself as minion for other sections.

Tsarnaev Transported To Prison


The one surviving suspect from the Boston Marathon bombing has been moved to a Bureau of Prisons facility. Dzhokar Tsarnaev was transported from the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center to the Federal Medical Center at Fort Devens. The prison facility is designed for only male inmates who require specialized or long-term medical or other mental health care. It is made for people that have special conditions. The brothers are suspected of setting two bombs at the finish line of the race April 15. Three people were killed and more than 200 injured. The boat that Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev hid in before being captured last Friday night, after a tense standoff with law enforcement, was towed around 5:20 PM. Friday from the Watertown, Massachusetts, backyard in which it had been located. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev could possibly face the death penalty if convicted guilty for the attacks, in which he said were prompted by the brothers' religious beliefs and anger over the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that the United States of America was involved in.

US Warns Syria on Chemical Arms




US President Barack Obama has vowed a "vigorous investigation" into reports Syria has used chemical weapons, warning they will be a "game changer" for US policy if proven true. Both the United States of America and the United Kingdom have pointed to new evidence which supports that Syria has used chemical weapons such as the nerve gas sarin. UK Prime Minister David Cameron later said “It appeared a war crime was being committed by Syria”. The Syrian government have denied all accusations and claimed all the allegations are lies. It has been reported that at least 70,000 people were killed in the uprising against the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, in the two year uprising.

CS:S to SteamPipe

Counter-Strike: Source finally makes its way to SteamPipe. Steam will perform a one-time conversion process the next time you run the game.
The benefits to players are:

• * Faster downloads
• * Faster boot times
• * Faster map load times
• * More flexible ways to organize custom and downloaded content

This change affects the way files are organized on your hard disk:

• * The game is now in the steamapps/common folder, not a folder per user.
• * Files downloaded from gameservers go in the cstrike/download folder.
• * There is a new folder, cstrike/custom, intended as the location to put your custom files.
• * .GCF files are not used.
• * .VPK files are used for official content and can also be used to distribute client-side mods.

For those of you may be a little confused on how the new file system works, I'd strongly recommend reading this post by FletcherD of VALVe.
Server owners must now use SteamCMD in order to update their servers. More information on how to do that here.



Mysterious Tease by Bethesda

mysterious video has been released by Bethesda where we see barbed wire, a record spinning and sheet music by Bach. What could this mean? Some people think it is Fallout 4 however when asked Vice President of marketing on Bethesda had this to say:

I'm pretty clueless as to what this is going to be. I mean, they use Bach inside Fallout often, so it's gotta be Fallout. Hines, however, says otherwise. I guess we'll just have to wait and find out.



NaissanceE to be Released in 2013

Described as a short first person adventure NaissanceE is one of the most interesting looking games set for release sometime this year.

"NaissanceE is an adventure taking place in a primitive mysterious structure. The game mainly consists to explore and feel the deep and strong ambiance of this temporal world but platforming and puzzles areas will also enrich the experience." - Mavman

From what can be seen in the trailer the game style is minimalistic with beautifully lit corridors and amazingly surreal structures everywhere. It really is pleasing to the eye and will definitely achieve its goal of making the player have a feeling of loneliness or isolation. So far there seems to be no actual gameplay footage let alone a story for NaissanceE. Regardless, I'm looking forward to it's release because 3D climbing bullshit really gives me a hard-on.



CS:GO Operation Payback - 7 (8?) Top-Voted Community Maps

Fundawear is fun to wear!
Fundawear, underwear that basically allows long distance relationships to get a bit more.. touchy. This new underwear is an app for your phone that basically allows you to touch the other person and it 'actually feels like you're touching them'. Boston on High Alert
After the most recent bombing at the Boston Marathon, cameras have been installed all over Boston to keep a close eye on the city. Officials say that, "blanketing a city in surveillance cameras can create as many problems as it solves". Along with these cameras, face recognition software is being developed to make "security camera images much more valuable to law enforcement". Since these cameras were put up, lots of talk and debate have been arising about privacy concerns. One statement was brought up stating that this technology could be abused, as another statement said that people could be misidentified as this software is not always perfect.
