Downloaded it today after all the hype from my friends. I know it's probably an old game, but hey. I just got addicted to it.

tip: Don't get into crafting. I spent 30 keys worth on craft hats and crafted them all. Ended up with 2 ref. Slippery slope.

You sell those hats to get Buds, and you eventually sell the buds for keys, in which you open up crates in hopes of hats.

It's a little-known fact that TF2 is actually a mod for a rare Russian game, the very one you speak of ,"Hat Simulator 5000".
Due to this, the shameless pirate Gaben ripped all of the hats straight from the Beta files. The craftsmanship of the hats was so great though, that Gabe's Ass-Valve Team decided to keep them, for chances of massive profit from no work.
