Well from my personal experience, I wouldn't have the energy drink, you can try glucose tablets but those are pretty expensive. Gatorade is fine as long as you consume water with it, It provides electrolytes as well as a bit of an energy kick(Sugar). I don't think creatine is necessary because it's for more gym work and secondly stores more water in your muscles, in turn increases size.
If you're looking for an alternative I would Eat pasta or something high in carbs the night before, that will usually provide a good stable source of energy to keep you going for a short time.
You can also work on training your ATP levels and recovery rate.
