Maken-Ki 2

I'm probably never going to watch this show, but I have a question just in-case I might.

Do I need to watch the first Maken-Ki to understand/get the second one, or not? If no, I may watch 2 because it's on HorribleSubs. If I do, then fuck it.

Uh....don't think so. It's a fanservice show so the plot couldn't be too hard to pick up on.

It has a plot but it's VERY simple, so you can skip the first season if you want. The main character enrolls in a school but the school actually is for magical students who have these things called Makens (sorta like a sword). He ends up getting a harem and what not. The only real "plot" is that he joined this organization to fight these guys called Venus. It's a typical generic fan-service anime. I recently watched Haganai and it's pretty good, you should check that out instead...

But dat dark skinned....... Nah, Maken Ki is 50/50. The anime has animation going for it and the manga has a more coherant "plot" and better looking characters.

Honestly I saw the 1st season. Not that good. I wont see 2nd season probably.
Nothing special happened because its most fan service as some already told you.

Na, they don't have the first season. But based on what I've read here I'm probably not going to waste my time with it anyways. I was just curious.

They do just rip CR's stuff, but they don't have anything before a certain point. Like they don't have anything before like Naruto Shippuden episode 90 or some shit (3-Tails arc).

I think anything pre-2009/2010 they don't have.

I think that is because 2009 and such crunchyroll wasn't as big to rip and actual sub groups were doing most of the work.

Yeah, they were only founded then, that's why. :P

Yeah, I know. xD I never said otherwise, they're complete 100% rips. But the 1080p videos come out only 1-2 hours after CR posts them for free. Since I have a 2 TB Data drive and space is not an issue I would rather get that for free than have to wait a week.

I also like watching things with VLC more, because VLC OP. :P
