Dayz Mod any new way to change cd key

i need help is there a new way to change your cd key because with the new steam update arma has to be open wit steam and that changes me to my old ban key help please

Yes it's possible, you need to change your CD Key and then lock it's location in the registry to prevent it from being overridden. There should be a couple tutorials if you search for them on how to do so, if you're still having trouble finding them let me know.

I am having the exact same problem. I tried to lock the location from it being overrideen and steam still updates the game. Looks like you cant use keys anymore

Anytime, and yeah apparently Steam unlocks your registry now and sets the permissions. Not much of a way around this unless you yourself don't have permission.

Use a non-administrator account, possibly?
