Was forced to install windows 8.1 Server wont work anymore after it installed

I was forced to install windows 8.1 and now when I run my server the client says load error retrying. My wserver and server dont crash its just the client can no longer connect for what ever reason. Does anyone know what could be wrong? m.y server ran fine just before I had to install it

change the ip in the client + windows 8 messes up your hamachi, so try reinstalling that

Im not concerned about hamachi , I just wanna be able to run it on my desktop again

Is your server running on Hamachi?
Do you have the client ip set to your Hamachi ip?
If you've portforwarded and have you external ip in the client, have you added your ip to the hosts file to redirect to localhost?

@donran the ip in my client currently is 127.0.0.1:8888 my server is running port 8888 and the server in list.cs is using the ip 127.0.0.1

No clue then honestly, you could try disabling your firewall, in case it for some reason is blocking local ports..

For some reason nobody seems to get a private server working I got link 5 requestion, no one seemed to work, and it's not Windows 8, mine works fine with it

MySql problems? I had to get a very old MySql installer. This might be the problem as the new one for some reason isn't working very well

Cherio, tbh, I won't even bother trying to make an server with 8.1, it just has to many BUGS when it comes to stuff like that, install fresh Win 7 or backup to Win 8, when you get the server working on localhost, you will still have trouble putting it online. Trust me
