OT: Of course they have to be scanned. You really think they'd leave thousands of dollars worth of gift cards, game cards, disposable credit cards, etc. just laying around? None of that shit has a value until it is entered into a POS(point of sale) system.

Most POS systems are simple to operate. The Cash or Tender key is usually large, green, and located near the bottom right of the register. What you want to do is ask a store clerk at 7-Eleven to go get something that another "friend" or store manager left for them in the back. Just make something up. Do this late at night. Usually there is only 1 person working anyway. So sometimes they need to go in the back just to clean or do stock. When they do, swipe all of the cards really fast. Press Tender or Cash. You shouldn't have to key in an amount. Pressing Cash is usually a way of telling the machine that exact change was given. Then run like a bat out of hell! Don't take cash. I think if he took cash from the drawer when it opened the crime would be more severe. Just shut the drawer and run.
