Sure it was great, for people who want a lazy design and have no real interest in the last op, which was way better than this one.

Yeah, isn't that odd though? I mean studios like SHAFT, Production IG, and UFOtable have to make success in order to put out the high quality content.
(for instance Madoka wasn't possible without Bakemonogatari's success).

But Studio Pierrot has been around forever, making the same level content, forever. They are rich, they are just really lazy or using "efficient"(aka minimum wage) animators/animation for the sake of profit.
(Don't pay your animators, have shitty animation, but the story is edgy and applies to teens so it will sell well.)
