change appearance of shining will to raider

i've been trying to do this by editing the player_costume.txt using both notepad and notepad++. but all im getting in game is the sticky bomb in between my legs. can someone tell me why this is happening? did i do sumthing wrong?

also, i dunno if my mods matter but i'll list em out here. i use gsl 1.006, echi combat as well as echhi body mod.

While I can't help you with trying to mod the actual files themselves, I can give you this:

bind "keystroke" "cc_change_costume_set 162/163/164"
Where keystroke is the key you press to activate to command.
And 162 is male raiders, 163 is female raiders, and 164 is karok raiders.

Are you trying to mod it or are you trying to use the binds.

Binds will allow everyone to see you when you use it but your suppose to reload it every map.

Mods are perm. client sidded.(noone else can see it but you) until updates patch.

that's if you're hosting a boat, if you're smart you shouldn't be hacking in a pub boat.

sorry for mentioning, im only trying to mod it and not bind it.
im not familiar w/ console and keybinding at all. =/

Well then.. im not an expert with this but, i can tell you what you need too do, seeing as how i dont know where/what the Shining Will and Raider set's are named. But...

The Location of the mods should be C:...\en-US\data\models\armor\Shining Will.

Now from there you should get the Raider's set and place it in the folder, you can look through the HFS files to find the Raider's set models.

Just place the Raider set models in the Appropriate folder and Rename it to the correct armor set. Should work out fine, But I dont know the file names of the things so this is all i help you with, Im to lazy to look through the HFS files for now.

and i got the original question solved after guessing/testing for a few hrs
now im wondering if u can change inner armor color be editing the player_costume.txt

Hmm? Player_costume.txt way? I havent heard of this o.o I only know how to do model swaps. i am intrigued. please share D: pleeese?-googles while i wait.
