Where's Minecraft headed?

So, in the past few months/years, Minecraft has been taking a totally new direction - it's going towards the "MMORPG" direction. I personally - I don't like where it's going. Minecraft back 2-3 years ago was original as it was, and it was an amazing game. They're adding all this shit such as enchanting, and the bosses (It's fun, don't get me wrong), but why would you drift away from having something original and unique to an MMORPG style play?

What's your guys' point of view on it?

I like the ender dragon boss. It gives it more things to go forward on.
I think Minecraft is just trying to make it a little more advance than just basic gameplay. It gets boring and I think these updates will just make it that much enjoyable to play.

I hear they're bringing out dual wield weapons. Really looking forward for that

Completely agree. I mean, yeah it gives it more of a gameplay, and everything, but seriously - don't drift away from what Minecraft is.

the most recent. I forgot the mod I had, but it allowed you to have dual wielded weapons, and like different weapons. Spears, axes, waraxes, shields, etc. Sooo fun.

Well in 1.4, there is supposed to be invisible potions, which will pretty much ruin pvp until they are disabled in every pvp server...Or they will leave the potions allowing all the rich people/hackers and dupers to just run around all day invisible...

I do have MCDowngrader, if I ever wanted to downgrade to Alpha, but for every person, it is different on what Minecraft should be. And currently, they are adding updates that are needed, besides bug fixes, like new bosses, and since most people like it, they are continuing in that direction. But, it is starting to become a MMORPG style game.

The enchanting part is kinda lame
