(Warning) VAC Bans on DayZ Standalone (Warning)

On 11/28/2014 I got my first report of someone getting VAC banned on Dayz. I thought this had to be some kind of mistake because this was the first time I have ever seen a DayZ ban that wasn't Battleye. But then today (11/29) I got a second report from another DayZ player saying he was VAC Banned. So far I don't know why they where banned or what they were using when they got banned, they didn't know each other, one of the people I had done business with but the other one I had not, so its really hard for me to figure out whats causing this.

Everyone should be extra careful until this is figured out.

Don't be too alarmed 3 or 2 of my steam accounts are vac banned.

from dayz? do you know the cause?

Were you hacking on Stable or Experimental?

I personaly havent had any dayz standalone bans. One of the people I talked to who had been banned said he was using a hack called "vaterland", I've never heard of it.

If your flagged by VAC dont run any cheats on DayZ or they can catch you.
Basicly VAC is catching people who where flagged from being banned on other games (such as CoD) if they run a dayz hack.

Here's a Skype conversation I had with someone who has a DayZ VAC ban:

Not sure if thats true about "they watching u if u got vac ban" cuz i've got alot steamcommunity/id/kl9kca , and still cant get vac for dayz

The only other person I talked to who has a DayZ VAC ban, said he hasn't hacked on DayZ but has hacked on CS:GO and CoD.

VAC Bans on DayZ are new? On my main acc I got a VAC ban on DayZ 213 days ago. Someone didn't update their post when the hack was outdated, but I can't remember what hack it was.

VAC has been rolling banning on dayz since literally day 12

News to me, I've never encountered them, just started hearing about it in the last week or so

It happens mostly when you're reported by another player. This is why I don't mess with players on empty servers, or any obvious streamer. Players can figure out your steam profile, and they report it. DEV's can take a peek at videos and server logs, and presto, steam account not allowed to connect to servers anymore, you'll get "Session lost" every time you try.

I have 8 VAC Banned Steam Accounts banned from Dayz SA. The cheat they were using was detected and they got flagged. Then after a certain time VAC bans (AKA VAC bans are delayed) Nothing new about this. BE and VAC are both running. If you go to a BE Disabled server (I've heard they do not exist anymore) VAC will still be running and VAC can still Flag you. Just don't use Copy Pasted code or edit the source really good.
